History

The Story

We Care Ministries, incorporated as a Kansas non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation in 1991, is dedicated to improving the quality of life of the elderly, the handicapped, and the needy. We Care was founded by Gary and Carol Barnes, a couple who felt a calling from the Lord to minister to the elderly, other adults needing care, and their caregivers. Carol had become a Christian in 1984 and Gary gave his life to Christ two years later. Gary was working as a railroad supervisor of yard operations at the time, and Carol as a registered nurse.

Since the start-up of the organization, We Care has been providing Christian services that benefit clients and  staff of care facilities in the greater Kansas City area.   Gary and Carol invite you to be a part of this exciting "We Care" story by helping with the funding for ministry operations to our nations underserved elderly, handicapped, needy and their caregivers.
